Another chilling echo from the past

    When the Nazis first rose to power there were many German Jew ex-service men who believed they would be safe. After all they had proven their loyalty to Germany sacrificing much in the first world war. They who had fought along side the fuhrer to defend Germany would surely be recognized for their brave contribution......How wrong they were. It was not long before they could no longer travel freely within or to leave Germany. They were soon herded with all the other Jews into ghettos. And we all know how that story evolved from there.

    I keep saying that the parallels between then and now are frightening. Many choose not to see it.
