I encourage all shareholders to do the same as well, More importantly a correction the trade off with the purchases and the share value ( then and now,) is a theoretical consideration not an accounting consideration. So even though it would significantly improve the situation IE reduce the theoretical acquisition cost by $6.3M it would not actually improve the results by such , and I don't believe it could have been used to offset the (unrequired) goodwill deduction. It just would be a gain, that would be difficult to account for.
IE we bough a building for $10M ( $9m cash plus $1M shares) but later on we bought those shares back for only a $100K so the building theoretically costs us on $9.1 , but it will still be in the accounts for $10 and is almost impossible to resolve accounting wise as its Share count went up , Share count goes back down to the same count ; but you theoretically got a $10M assets for $9.1M cash.
sorry about the error folks.
