Hitler had widespread support for a reason, he treated his citizens quite well and did great things for Germany, whilst keeping the bad things hidden from them, something that was possible in the late 1930s.

Hugo Chavez also probably had great intentions for the citizens of Venezuela, but like most people from the left lack the skills and intelligence to run an economy

Hitler did treat the people well until he consolidated power, then how did he treat anyone he did not like?

Hugo Chaves IMO was a reactionary against rampant, corrupt and plundering capitalism in his country.

Maybe he stuffed up, but the people were in favour of change.

Maybe the same is happening with ON ---having support until they need to act for all and then self-destruct.
