My T3 investment was opportunistic.
I saw it as middle-class welfare, the government virtually giving away the last bit of Telstra, at a time when Telcos around the world were being re-rated upwards. I figured that, given the terms of sale, Telstra could stuff up monumentally and still make money on T3. I liked the odds. I reckon the mums and duds were dudded by the *experts* negative campaign.

As for Telstra, I would not have bought if it werent for T3. I just wasnt sure enough in the past few years whether alternative technologies/providers would kill the big Telcos.
I have now changed my mind. No matter what new ideas emerge, the big Telcos will be the ones which will commercialised them by virtue of size and financial stealth (particularly if they start getting favourable regulatory outcomes)
