re: jocam9 ??? for stoss Hi stoss, I have been in the UK recently visiting the kids so have taken my eye off the ball a little. I have a holding in BUYO which gives me exposure to Leafcutter though if that's a bummer I'll lose all as the oppies expire soon. But at least I know what my contingent liability is.
The only other stock I hold apart from Petsec (bought more today!!!!) is FAR and FAROA. I think they were oversold when they hit 2.5 cents so have been stocking up. Company has minimal debt $2 million in cash, not too many shares on issue for a penny dreadful and operations now mainly in the United Strates. Expecting some good news from the Terry Ewing #2 well in a week or so. FAR also has a small interest in China. CEO Michael Evans also holds some Petsec shares so have to give him 10 out of 10 for judgement!! Seriously though Evans has husbanded FAR's resources well in the past and I am hoping for a recovery here in the medium term.
Can't see much else of outstanding value among the oilers at present apart from AWE and possibly ARQ. I think AYO is fully priced and Hardman too dependent on future drilling success. Time to buy HDR early and sell before spud seems to have passed for this year. Longer term I think Bounty could surprise but buying the fps now is just a bet on Leafcutter. BUY is a stock to be revisitd after the drill.
The other stock that intrigues me is Carnarvon. I don't hold but have watched as they have ditched a couple of senior execs and moved their offices to Melbourne. CEO is now the former finance man David Orth(?). They have oil in the ground in Thailand, just having trouble getting it out. Seemed to be a bit of movement in the shares today with 2.2 million changing hands at 3.3 cents. Best price for a long time. They will be drilling again later in the year but not sure how they are going to finance that.
Have also had an eye on CUE to see how it was going to finance Oyong but this one is taking an awfully long time to put a package together. Had a few earlier in the year but then got frustrated with slow pace.
