I don't think their objective is to deceive people into subscribing for these services - it's generally a two step process to opt-in so I don't think anyone could say they'd been deceived. There are some dodgy operators in the space but I don't think MBE is one of them. Don't get me wrong, they used to be back when ring tones, etc could be a subscription service a few years ago, but they have learned their lesson from that. I think (hope) that the desire to become a "global leader in direct carrier billing" has been cast aside in favour of a desire to grow sustainably and more importantly, profitably! Grow the cash balance for a while and then slowly turn the taps back on in regions where they know DCB actually works!
