One of my favorite posters, 3500, had a knack for explaining why humans wanted to keep the kennel dogs and cash in profits on performing stocks and also why that was a bad idea.
I wish I could word-craft as well as he did, but the underlying sentiment is there, that humans will want to end every transaction in the black.. and unfortunately that means most of us will try holding on to under performers while trying to make up for that by selling over-performing stocks.
