The deal falling apart would seem to be an extremely low probability event given that they requested a trading halt. I suppose if they were in a position to announce, they would do it at the end of today since there would be no point sitting on that information over the weekend. Perhaps there are documents to be signed and i's to dot and t's to cross and that could possibly result in some sort of delay? I don't have a great deal of experience when it comes to announcements, maybe someone could enlighten us?
