According to my Aunt who lives in the Netherlands the Turks have been living there for several generations but have been able to keep passports for both countries hence the Turkish influence in trying to get their votes in the upcoming Turkish election.
Dutch citizens are not permitted to hold another passport e.g. from the country of father's birth.
I think the Dutch PM is putting on a tough stance to convince voters that he is worth re-electing.
    The Dutch vote on Wednesday.
