You sound very new to the market. Best to read up on opening and closing auctions but will try to explain in simple terms. People put in overlapping buys and sells during the auction to ensure they get filled at the end of the auction. Everyone gets the same price on open/close. This is determined by the weighted average price of all the overlapping buys/sells. Nothing illegal, perfectly normal and this occurs on all stocks during the auction. FWIW I'm back in on close @ 8.7c after selling @ 11c this morning. Expecting a little further downside and will buy more if that's the case, but don't want to miss out if I'm wrong.
