Meg Lees messing with the GST legislation proves my point - she managed to stuff it up.
It's not about "concesions" - as a country we need to raise revenue through taxation. You can't give "concessions" unless you get it from somewhere else. Thanks to Meg lees we are still chasing state Governments to drop taxes they were supposed to and as a country we can virtually never adjust the GST if we ever need to.
