Trying to make a million is fraught with danger if too many risks are taken, I think. As I see it, to do that one needs a number of low priced stocks and not necessarily having uranium only.

As time moves, then I would sell the non-performing stocks and increase the capital of the remaining few stocks. And further along, I could be left with say 3 stocks only.

That is one prescription and not every one wil agree with that but want more risk instead. That will be up to the individual.

I have always kept more stocks but sure, a few really made the money.

It is easier to do that once the money supply increases.
But I did have to write off some losses from time to time employing this technique when investing.
