Hank retained all packaging when doors were "locked"so unless they had had old shells manufactured rather than new ones for the new machines I would be surprised. Would have been double the tooling costs etc for them to do both types on new machine at Madelines. They might have but I assumed they didn't but would have to go back over my timeline notes.
If you are back past that store it would be great to know what path those ones took to get to Australia and that store and how many are available?
Always hard in business to control parallel imports and especially when the old version may be considered lower quality you don't want massive numbers dumped on the market turning consumers off especially after 2 year old stock and not knowing full storage chain.
Yowie would always be better to ensure all unsold , short date stock is destroyed or sold through a reputable chain or better yet off to a charity conditional on quick distribution and eating. Ahhh but they are professionals and you can't tell em anything.
Do you reckon they are going to donate a heap to charity for easter for their launch??? Nah that would be too sensible and get some publicity .
