I know many say dont do it but avergaing down has saved my skin on each occassion. One day I will probably get caught. If I think a stock is terminal or if management just dilute to oblivian via multiple capital raisings I just sell. For those I'm confident about I keep pooring the money in because the downtrend will eventually reverse and then I sell (as in now).
I have invested in such disasters as DTE, TTE. LYC, AKK, QFX, EEG and many others (often tens of thousands). I could not have been more confident about CTP until now and invested accordingly. It made up 50% of my portfolio. Times have changed which took me by surprise and is very disappointing. Just another lesson for me. You just cant believe anything in the small cap space.
