2006 Exploration results – West Arnhem Land Joint Venture

Highlights
▪ Encouraging exploration results have been reported from
Cameco’s 2006 exploration program at the West Arnhem Land
Joint Venture.
− High quality targets have been developed from
geochemical, geophysical and geological programs for
evaluation in the 2007 field season.
− Initial drilling (RC and diamond) was undertaken at 4
prospects, with promising results at the Steven’s, Gabo
Fault and Black Bream prospects.
− Anomalous uranium and platinum group metals were
returned from drilling at the Stevens Prospect:
1m @ 0.19% U3O8 from 79m
2m @ 0.07% U3O8 from 69m
8m @ 2.57g/t Au, 1.02g/t Pd, 0.88g/t Pt from 41m
▪ Approximately $2.5 million exploration expenditure is planned for
2007 field season.
▪ West Arnhem Land Joint Venture Area is prime uranium
exploration ground within one of the world’s major uranium
provinces. Large portions of the region remain untested by
modern exploration techniques.

1. West Arnhem Land Joint Venture
Under the terms of a Joint Venture Agreement with Cameco Australia Pty Ltd (‘Cameco’),
entered into on 19 December 2006 (reported previously), Uranium Equities Limited (‘UEQ’)
is earning a 40% joint venture interest in 7 Exploration Licences and 2 Exploration Licence
Applications covering an area of more than 1,250km2 in the Alligator Rivers Uranium
Province, Northern Territory.
The Alligator Rivers Uranium Province is host to substantial reserves of uranium which have
a past and present uranium mining history.
The West Arnhem Land Joint Venture Area lies to the northeast of the Ranger, Jabiluka and
Koongara uranium deposits and surrounds the previously mined-out, high grade Nabarlek
uranium deposit (0.57Mt @ 1.95% U3O8 for 11084t or 24.4Mlb U3O8). The tenements are
situated to the north of UEQ’s Mt Evelyn Project (Figure 1).
