I've never rerad his posts and not defending his character - but the nature of the charge is a bit worrying.
I occasionally ring companies (a lot of hc users do ) and chat to directors, company secretaries etc. Never heard any gossip as juicy or tradeable as a takeover, but you do pick things up from time to time and I've always been happy to share info with other hc users. The same kind of rumours filter in via brokers or people you meet in a pub. That doesn't make me an "insider".
IMO its the director who should be prosecuted - if hes gained anything by it. If it was a simple slip of the tongue and Stocko made a few quid on the information, who cares? Well done to him for sharing it with others. In any case sounds to me like he didn't have much credibility and probably got ignored by most.
