They invested in the debt at 22c on the dollar but aren't speculating in the equity.
So regardless of whether people sold at $8 or 5c per share it was the right decision.
Maybe they will issue capital at 1 or 2c, that would seem pretty darn reasonable to me. On the other hand I may still be too bullish.
