Centres for Excellence will be opened in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram, West Bengal and Goa (now total 15 states) between 2016 and 2018

The bilateral cooperation will benefit both the countries in strengthening the techniques in efficient use of water, micro-irrigation, recycling/re-use of waste water, desalination, aquifer recharge and in-situ water conservation techniques
The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has given its approval for signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)
