I understand its about operational issues and production. Main issue being the impact of rain on mining operations ( a negative), but I understand pit/s have not been flooded so at least this is not a problem. If you look at the pictures of the pit you can see they are clayey so imagine what happens if you operate heavy machinery there or move dump trucks over water logged roads.
I hope there is plenty of ore stockpiled, but I have read of water logged ore being difficult to move along into a processing plant, so I wonder if that is also an issue.
Like I wrote yesterday, production was bound to be down on the planned level given what they said in the presentation.
BD obviously did not want to misinform when he gives the presentation so he is finally going to let us know "the facts".
Thank God they raised cash in Feb.
This production ramp up is beginning to get tiresome, but there is not much one can do about the unexpected weather conditions or the type of dirt they are mining. I hope BD explains how wet weather conditions will be handled in the future - just in case it becomes a recurring problem due to some changed climate conditions (eg stockpile more ore?, do something to improve road access to pits? I dunno).
