If you don't believe in the big bang.......how did it all start?
If it's not god then you say it's nature.
Fine.........what got "nature" going? And the Laws of nature? They then just evolve?
In regard to laws made by man, I should have been more explicit. I meant laws that revolving around the concept of justice.
There was no justice system before the ten commandments.........The rulers, or war lords did as they pleased....they were effectively acting as if they thenmselves were gods. In fact the Phaeroes maintained they were, yet look at them...Shrivelled mummies at best.
The Ten commandments codified the basic laws of mankind. It had to given otherise we would still be living in a system as existed then. There would not have been a way to break out.
Regaring animlas, which are you familiar that are self aware? All these billions of years yet not one book written by an animal. (Hitler excluded).
Monkeys can be trained and have a limited capacity of understanding.....if trained by a human.......otherwise, it's all instinct. They don't sit there and ponder the why's and the wherefores. They act or react instinctively or to a particualr patten of training.
You'll never have an Einstein or a Bach in the animal kingdom.
Soem animals are trained easier than others, have a higher brain capacity or maybe love the rewards better.....but intelligence? Let's see an animal go on stike because it has worked out it's not being paid union wages.....
I do believe animals have their own language of sorts. They obviously do communicate between one another wither at a pitch that we hear or that we cannot not.
But they can't reason with one another.
They learn as babies do. They copy, they mimick.......but they can't figure out why they're doing what they're doing.
You think salmon have made a conscious decision as to why they're going back to the estuaries they were hatched? You think they have a choice about it?
We have reason. We have the freedom to make choices.
