Asked if there are any Australian regions that are really stepping up over others, Albert Tse says Toowoomba’s Wagner family should be knighted for building a $100 million airport to help boost the growing production area.
“Private consumption in China will rise $US1 trillion in the next three years and the Toowoomba region really has its act together,” Mr Tse said.

Albert Tse, founder of private equity firm Wattle Hill and son-in-law of ex-Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, weighs into China-Australia relations in a panel discussion with The Australian’s business columnist Glenda Korporaal. .
“Chinese consumers are looking for what Australians are eating because they buy our lifestyle,” said Albert Tse, Wattle Hill founder.
Mr Tse also says the flow of news from China to Australia is surprisingly slow ... He notes the eCommerce news was announced in China on Friday but stocks in Australia didn’t jump until Tuesday!
