watso has only had a quick glance at a few posts...
bolt often writes that so called multiculturalism is ensuring we are becoming a nation of tribes - rather becoming australians .
in the good old post war years - ie the menzies years, there was none of this multicultural rubbish.
watso's parents migrated (and paid full fare) from western europe after the war - and saw australia as a land of opportunity - basically a new start... all of their offspring were born in australia, and our parents only ever spoke english to us.. sure, they spoke their native tongue with their friends from the home country.
obviously watso's parents had to learn english - well dad picked it up pretty quick in the work environment, and mom picked up the language from "learn english" radio broadcasts , as well as the help of an elderly neighbour.
the government should not be wasting one cent on all this multicultural rubbish - people come to australia - let them become australians - and break free from the past.
sure if ethnic groups want to have their own clubs - let them have them - but let them fund the clubs themselves (eg land/buildings etc etc)
