Glad to see things finally changing for the better.
So its about to happen... and the aim is to slaughter all other social media. Its the only winning scenario.

So the way i see it, here comes my good and bads... those that try the app... sync all their apps and all those apps contacts. For thred to really work, anyone that uses the app has to get all their friends to also download thred because your posts don't post to facebook pages etc if that's the only place your contacts reside. So you would still need to respond to messages on other apps on their app if your friend doesn't have thred.

So everyone needs to download thred for it to really shine or you cant communicate with someone on another app. Your message doesn't post to that app. So you need to invite them to thred.

Its a big ask, the thred app will need to be a better user interface than all the other billion dollar companies out there for people to make it their app of choice. If its not people will go back to their old faithful media.

If thred does pull it off, then new users will only need thred.

Is that not the final end game. A competition between social media. I dont see how unifying your apps into one is really unifying, it amalgamating and i dont see how the likes of facebook etc are allowing it as they will lose users.

If they are really clever. Which i thought was mentioned back in the old days, the app turns into a interface nicely enveloping android, apple and windows and everything starts from a thred.

So if it takes off it will be massive, if it doesn't it will struggle. IMO it will do well.
