No, as far as I know, there's no way to communicate with a HC punter other than via communal posting. I've seen some (few) people give out trading email addresses to select people, and obviously some people communicate via twitter handles and on FB forums, though again that's mostly using avatars. I really like the anonymity that HC offers, and I think most people feel the same way. Also, most of the HC gurus are people who trade full time, or who've been at this for decades, while some are clearly personally involved in the mining sector.

Learning the craft? Reading books and online sites, buying share trading magazines, joining associations like the Technical Analysts, and ASA (Australian Shareholders Association), going to ASX seminars, and continuing to ask questions on HC, plus following the underlying commodity information (which sometimes is in odd places - e.g. the best information that I've found about fluctuations in the price of gold is not on the Commodities forum but on the BDR forum). Some people find 'paper trading' useful, but I never have - I need to have skin in the game to keep me interested.
