The higher the offer the higher the risk. As the company is now would anyone want to offer $700mill? Are they that sure yet that AJX is the company that will take their market share? Have they proven themselves to that level? Certainly a company wouldn't pay $700mill to protect $100mill revenue.

The point is, it is far too early for a realistic takeover attempt. AJX hasn't produced the financial results yet and a lowball offer (to reduce the investment risk) wouldn't succeed. Talk about it in a couple of years time and we may be having a more realistic conversation.
