Hey Civaro, some super funds allow you to invest in the ASX300 without completely going self-managed (SMSF).

E.g. Hostplus has an investment option called ChoicePlus, which allows you to allocate your funds into ASX300 stocks. Utilising this option incurs fees totaling approximately $258 annually (this includes the weekly and monthly fee) - much cheaper than going full SMSF.

You don't want to target risky plays with super, IMO. But it is something I am considering with AVB, if it makes it into the 300 sooner rather than later.
