The post was intended to convey how a valuation of $400M was fair in light of the valuation given to other peptide development biotechs. There is one big difference with Phylogica.
Jay Bradner, formerly from Dana Farber and now President of the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research, has argued that unless the Myc problem is solved it will be difficult to cure cancer. Phylogica has a good chance (and now a completed POC data pack) of solving the Myc problem. To top it all off, Myc has moved into the IO space where valuations become crazy.
