I know that various groups will be looking at both aspects of time, so both are valid as support to some and therefore to the market.

Markets are about how people view it, nothing else.

Fib works because people use it, more than any other reason.

The same with momentum or any other study.

The same with support and resistance.

Each has a validity in itself, but I believe that the herd mentality increases its effect.

Understanding the herd is probably the smart way to trade.

That doesn't mean discounting their influence but to anticipate and know when to counter.

I am not that smart, so stick mainly to my tried and true ma's.

Sure, others are using some of them too, but they are are a good stop/loss, and have stood the test of time for me.

The esoterics are fun and sometimes give great tops and bottoms but the jam is in the simple stuff IMO.

I am talking long term and I know you are short term.

Each to their own style and we go with what works for us.
