North African pipeline exports to Europe fell by 11.1%, to 718 MMcm, in Week 14 from the previous week as volumes declined on all pipelines transporting North African gas to Europe. Deliveries of Libyan gas to Italy via GreenStream remained low, at 34.8 MMcm. Exports from Libya have been hit by disruptions to onshore gas production and transport caused by militant activity and, more recently, labour unrest. Meanwhile, exports from Algeria to Spain through the Maghreb-Europe pipeline fell by 14% in Week 14 while exports via Medgaz fell by 10.3%. Trans-Med volumes from Algeria to Italy declined by 10.7%.
