One of the points that Peak is making in the BFS is that they expect to see a significant uptick in demand for NdPr, coinciding with the anticipated growth in electric vehicles. Electric motors need magnets to operate, and if those motors are going to be kept small, that means you need magnets with high magnetic field strength. That, in turn, means rare earth magnets - you're not going to use electromagnets in an electric vehicle.

Break-even point is around $35/kg. Short term, $85/kg is unrealistic.. but long term? Unless more mines come into production, and soon, I think it's eminently feasible - I think we're going to see a big uptick in the EV market after the Model 3 comes out. There's a very good chance that the major auto manufacturers will be scrambling to catch up, and that has strong (positive) implications for lithium, cobalt, and rare earths (and possibly other commodities).

All in all, it looks pretty solid to my admittedly untrained eye... hoping for a decent lift today, but I'm in this for the long haul in any case.
