i bought a few coins on ebay. paid over the odds for a couple i suspect, but then again, i buy specific interest coins whcih can sometimes be hard to track down ... ie: got a henry lawson silver coin that was one of a set of four .... paid over the odds for what will represent an incomplete set cos i had no interest in the other four coins. i mainly buy for my own interest in the subject matter ... lawson, eureka, gold mining, anzacs, .. rather than an investment ... certainly have learned that with ebay timing is everything. you can sometimes snag what is a bargain, and yet if you waited you could pick the same thing up a few days later cheaper. sometimes a high price paid for one item will bring out multiple listings of the same thing days later.
