That is an actual fact in the end, however, the market place is very fickle, and there are such things as undervalued companies and also over rated companies on hype.
There are such things as market darlings and unoticed companies as well.
So, whilst I am terribly regretful that I never purchased bmn at the first recomendation from Fat Prophets, I do believe that numbers are not 100% a telling of the value of a company.
I wont sprout of figures, but my favourite joke is the uranium hype on rock chip samples. I have spoken to some company directors who refuse to report them because they are NOT indicative of the ground beneath
