Better than 50% chance of success?, page-17

    Cheers for the replies everyone.

    I think OlderWiser has it.

It's clear that a hell of a lot of work has gone into designing the fracture stimulation process specific to our well geology. With Paul Basinksi's expertise, and the 'best frack guys' - I have huge confidence in them getting it right, at least eventually.

I'd definitely like to better understand the fracking process. I'd also like to know how often shale fracks completely fail to successfully fracture the rock effectively, and/or fail to embed the proppant no matter how many goes a fracking company had at getting it to work.

Is getting rock to fracture stimulate effectively a 50:50 outcome?

Say we just simply can't frack the rock effectively. We still have a long-ish lease. We wait for better technology?.....

Maybe just send me down there with an Uzi gun and a Bazooka? I'll shoot the whole place up until oil comes pouring out like the Niagara.
