Airlines, and security personnel have a lot to answer for....far too shy about confronting real threats. We got pulled up a few years ago, flight to the US, as coming up positive on a swab - for explosives - un-f-ing-believeable. LOL, it was actually my wife who came up positive on a swab of her clothing. So we got pulled aside, questioned, bags examined...etc....all beyond stupid. And then I remembered I had tossed fertiliser all over the backyard about a week before we left. So I'm guessing they picked up on a few molecules of something they didn't like - as the clothes were drying in the backyard a few days later. Very unlikely though . That is my best and only guess. So I told the FP clowns, for F sake - she is a Nurse, a total Catholic...Does she look like a fking terrorist? How dumb do you need to be before you get a grasp on reality. Whatever. But what really pizzed me off - was seeing obvious Muslim families, a couple of them, walking on thru - I could see them from the window. FK, I instantly figured this was a quota issue, harass a few non-threats - and hope they catch the million to one chance - but real ones get thru at some point - because they can't be 'racially profiling' - although common sense is - do exactly that. But doubt they have the bravery to target the minorities who are out to kill us. Anyway, long time ago....and I couldn't give a rats. Assad/Kim can pull up with a container full of Sarin into New York and set if off...and the world will still micky-mouse about air transport threats.... We were warned after they failed to find anything, that we could expect more in SYD on our way to SFO - but it didn't happen. Our trip went as planned. Our bozos should get jobs with Circus S......
