It shows the mentality of vodafone,clearly during the auction process optus bailed out due to price,tpg and vodafone continued bidding each for different reasons imo,tpg paid a premium ,that premium was to enter mobile ownership.The not to smart gorilla bid to protect its past investment when it had a previous opportunity to buy same spectrum in previous auction much cheaper.

In reply to concerns re standardisation of 5g frequencies as per a previous link posted,telstra network boss said 'we're very pleased by how open the standards groups have been to recommendations from our team'.in Barcelona.
Trujillo had same issue and convinced global telcos in barcelona the best standards.Thought i would mention it because 5g will b tpgs main issue.
I still believe teohs end game is to force vodafone into a jv under tpg management and imo vodafone head office would not object.
