The days of LNP coming into government and turning Labor deficits and debt into surpluses and assets are well and truly over.
The Senate will not permit any economic or budget reform that affects benefits and services. Full stop.
Deficit and the associated accumulating debt are now structural. No repair will be made by an LNP government, and the rate of debt growth will accelerate rapidly when Labor/Greens are in government. Future generations will feel the pain of servicing this pile of debt through higher taxes and reduced services.
