Ive played a couple of Chibsons. It will cost you about $600 to change out the pickups and the electronics and possibly one or two of the switches.
Thats the work that had to be done to bring the Chibsons I played up to a playable standard.
If you take the cover off the little cut out for the electronics on the back you may well see a horror show.
The Gibsons have orange drops for capacitors and you will probably have to change them as well.
Still and all you will end up with a reasonable Chibson for about $1000 bucks including purchase price.
Lets hope customs does not charge you for illegal importing.
