So I have been thinking recently about trading strategies, namely getting set prior to an announcement vs trading the hype post announcement.
I really dont see as much merit these days with the old by and hold strategy. Using MSP as an example today, I know alot of the smart guys n gals were jumping on around 2.2c. Lets assume they used todays high volume to take profits and sold at 2.9c (7 pips) as a few I know got out a bit early.
Lets say a trader spotted it today at 2.6c and managed to get out at 3.1 (5 pips). Is the extra couple of pips worth your capital being tied up, seeing the price go nowhere, and seeing the price drop as it did yesterday to 1.8c??
What are your thoughts guys?
Cheers
