I've really liked this company for such a long time....it's grades and the resources it keeps uncovering have been phenomenal.....and if it were not for the fact that I buy almost exclusively into uranium companies, it most certainly would have been in my portfolio....saying that I was on the verge of buying in...upside whilst heading to production would have been terrific....so much for that now.

    Siamese said yesterday....

"You don't need to go past this:

Merging with Coeur D Alene Mines Corp, a company of not too dissimilar market capitalisation, that has its flagship project, which has over 150 million ounces of silver, located in Bolivia of all places.

Bolivia's leader Morales, is a very close ally of Venezuela's Chavez. So how naive will BSG share holders be if they approve this merger?

They'll only have themselves to blame if they then find this project nationalised or taxed to such an extent that there is no upside to a rising silver price."

Well you can lock in that scenario 100%.....a position incidentally that I agree with from the view of Chavez and Morales....why should the first world be allowed to come over and continually rape and pillage their nations....it's been going on for centuries. Their peoples have never benefitted from this exploitation, so enough is enough....and fair enough.

That aside, my point is, why on Earth would anyone then want to form alliances with companies that have the vast majority of their assets in nations such as these, particluarly when BSG has such a bright future of it's own. It is most certainly a disaster in the making, and as the struggle for resources into the future continues, and as commodities become scarcer and prices continue to escalate , there is nothing more certain that nations will cling to what is theirs. One day wars will be fought over resources....they already have been, and they are even today, thanks to GWB.

There is no way that I would now buy in, if the proposed merger were allowed to proceed....and if I was a shareholder, I would be looking for the door sooner, rather than later.

Undoubtedly, BSG holders are being shafted, in a major, major way.

P.S. Ridiculous commentary from the person who started the thread "The Truth" yesterday.
