I don't think the increase in shorters is necessarily a bad thing.
Shorting is a way to manipulate and control the stock price. Look at the graph on shortman for instance... the day the percentage of stock shorted increases is the same time as the stock price rised. It's almost like us 'losers' are doing and doubling down. It explains the higher opening prices and collapse back in price in the evening.
Overall I'm happy:
- low multiples of PE
- low term average prospects
- a fair few buyers now (not overwhelmed by sellers)
I am happy holding this stock for a long time, so I literally don't care what happens day to day as long as I'm happy with the long term prospects... which I am.
