Hey people, I was in another company once. The company went from a few cents to just over a dollar.
They were drilling for graphite.
Some directors were persuading some shareholders that the price was dropping because the other company drilling next door was manipulating the price down. "It's shareholders of the other company" manipulating the price down because they are jealous , was the cry from fellow S/Hs. All sorts of garbage like that. Well, the price hit an all mighty low of 6c. The board got kicked out and heaps of people lost S##t loads of money. Moral of the story is, if what happens is not what directors are alluding to, then be VERY, VERY careful. Remember, not a criminal offence to not achieve the end goal.
PS There are heaps more story's like this regarding "Darling" companies.
