With respect, I disagree with you on the matter of inside trading. It is not hard to find obvious examples. Take just about any positive announcement and you will see that its is almost always preceded by increased volume, and often increased prices.
I have read large sections of the Corporations Act, and I challenge you to quote the section that states it is illegal to put in fictitious bids and offers.
Otherwise I agree with most of what you say. It is quite funny to watch traders go wobbly at the knees at the slightest sign of trouble, and then they invent bizarre conspiracy theories to explain what is mostly normal market behaviour.
