You would have to go a long way to see more guff than has been posted in this thread by various Flat Earthers. Reading it all is a bit like listening to King Arthur of Cam elot expound on the merits of digital watches.
Technical analysis is real - sad to say it does work, and its real and works for one very simple reason.
Insto's and brokers operating large positions (entering, exiting etc stocks) need a structured methodology for their actions. Technical parameters provide a template for trading their way into and out of positions and stocks.
When entering a position they buy a heap then sell down some to temper the price action and then buy some more and so on, and this is done in a logical and metered way subject to technical parameters.
Of course, I know there are a few here, especially in this thread that probably reckon a Super Fund just gives $50 million to their mandated broker with the instructions,
