Hi Ainsleym,
It has been a bit like the game is afoot..but for those who have done a lot of research and posted on HC your queries appear to show a lack of research. Not surprising as the information gets buried under many posts and is not easy to find.
In their Sept 14 2016 announcement of the acquisition DLE gave the location of the information you are interested in. They passed comments on that information at the time and were upfront about the assay problems leaving it for the individual to do more research with the Wamex link.
More recently (as you noted 9 Mar 2017) the company made additional comments on the issue of contamination and rationale for drilling as a response to negative reports.
Should DLE/RIR have posted more information. Perhaps but if folks don't read and follow up what is posted then is it the companies fault?
What would you have them present? Here are some of the data - can you make much sense of it? What would the average investor do with it? I have posted these and others previously and probably bored many of the non technical people.
The two snips below represent my final effort to understand the data for Co and what I thought were applicable other elements.
IMO the kind of pattern in these cobalt assays is probably related to stratigraphy.
However, I suspect there may be a calibration issue between assay batches 1 and 2 and batch 3 which relates to something in the lab. Given the orders of magnitude involved to the high grade there is the potential for economic cobalt.
None of the historical assays IMO offer conclusive proof that ACM made the right decision to walk. It may have been the right decision but was based on poor QAQC of the assays.
Your comments about the core storage are correct but at last year's AGM JK said something along these lines:
The core was stored along with Magellan core on ?Yandal station where it was destroyed when a bulldozer went through the core farm - JK.
After a 30 year period the pulps and coarse rejects have probably been lost or trashed as well.
At the heart of your query about assays is what companies should pass onto the market. I doubt any company will be able to satisfy everyone and will occasionally (always) say too much or too little.
Maybe RIR said too little in announcements but JK has been very good in communicating with me and another SH I know. Too late to be discussing this now with the drill bit probably in the Juderina Formation.
Red or Black?
The assays will tell soon.
