This mine was mined less than 20 years ago, the portal pad was built for mining. It's a mine. A gorse covered, muddy mine portal pad which only gets used when Protect Karangahake go up there to take photos pretending that it's some spiritual portal pad, the other 364.75 days of the year nobody goes there because it's a secluded mine at the end of a long road.
