"Compass Resources, which has signaled its intention to separate into
three distinct companies: a base metals producer, in joint venture with and significantly funded by China’s Hunan Corporation, a uranium exploration company which will have a JORC compliant resource, and another exploration company that will focus on base metal and gold exploration targets in NSW. Small capital raisings are envisaged to provide working capital for the two spinouts. Such separation of assets could lead to a higher
aggregate valuation as the separate vehicles will be more attractive to investors focused on particular commodities."
