Im gathering on how you understand things. How you understand "averages"? Poverty is indeed entrenched there in India but there would possibly more millionaires there than people in Australia, not just car owners in Australia. It is a fast growing economy with many middle income earners also.
There government last year released information on his plans for EV and grid supply there and that EV would actually be free to purchase. Now that's innovative!!! Im not sure how you could manage that, but Im sure criteria would need to be met.
The pay back for these free or low cost vehicles is delivered from the estimations of fuel savings made on a weekly basis. Think it through and how it could be managed and it is quite innovative and could indeed be market disruption in India.
Also, isn't there a $100 billion dollar fund from 2020 for these countries to lower green house gases?
