If it was NAB, and this is pure speculation, then you have to remember the terms of the agreement that they entered into. They were providing mock data, for simulations to evaluate the service, and they only paid IAM $800 for the privilege.

That is the equivalent to a software trial, so yes it is disappointing that someone has walked away from the product but I am still positive on the company and believe that they have likely asked for ridiculous terms.

If someone wants to buy your porsche for $10k do you do a deal to appease the masses, or walk away because it is no good. I know what I would do.
