Well I guess we had a few traders hoping for some good news on the acceptance numbers but AXI only got an extra 1.03% (875,320 shares).
Keep in mind that Joe Ganim said on the 28th of Feb that they were surprised that AXI launched the bid because Eumundi was already approached by the Axiom board and the identical offer was rejected.
So why did AXI buy the original 16% stake if they knew in advance that Eumundi would say NO ?
I don't think Peter Luarance is that reckless with his money.
Perhaps when AXI continues to hold around 30c and EBG starts to drift back to 23c they will start to sing a different tune!!
Laurance is the master of hard ball, and I'm sure he has an Ace still up his sleeve.
