I feel like there should be more marketing behind this, unless i've missed it. Now i live like a hermit, in a grey cubicle without access to facetube and goolgetweet so may have missed it but i figure an app is like any product and it needs to be "socialised" pretty intensly to get a few million subscribers. I also feel like that is a big number for a population of 23 million with 50% of the population not necessarily super integrated into the techgizmoappwidget scene. i'd say to manage expectations of a domestic launch i'd be thinking in the 200,000 range within a month. Viral, yes, but viruses take time to spread.
